FAQs
What is your swimwear made from?
Our swimwear is crafted from UPF 50+ fabric with a blend of 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex. This combination ensures a comfortable, durable, and flexible fit, perfect for enjoying a day at the beach or pool.
What is UPF 50+?
UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor, a rating used to measure the effectiveness of fabric in blocking UV rays. Our UPF 50+ fabric blocks 98% of the sun’s harmful rays*, ensuring your child’s delicate skin is shielded from potential sun damage. Unlike sunscreen, which needs frequent reapplication, our UPF 50+ fabric provides continuous protection without the worry of it wearing off.
*The UPF rating applies only to the area of the skin covered. Protection may be reduced if the material is wet, stretched or from the effects of normal wear and exposure to chemicals. For best sun protection use hats, clothing that provides maximum skin coverage, sunglasses, sunscreen and shade.
Why not use recycled materials?
Recent research indicates that recycled materials made from plastics can cause hormone and endocrine disruption. Microplastics from these materials can break down and potentially absorb into the skin. At Itoko, we prioritise the health and safety of our customers above all else, which is why we chose to use our Nylon/Spandex blend.
Where are your products made?
Our products are thoughtfully designed in Perth, Western Australia, and meticulously manufactured in China to ensure high quality and attention to detail.
